If Your Project Is Below-Grade
Waterproofing below grade brings with it a unique set of challenges. Concrete foundations may be under continual hydrostatic pressure even when groundwater is not present; this is caused when the soil around the foundation is less compacted than the soil in the larger surrounding area. This causes water to collect in the looser soil, keeping it close to the foundation where it can potentially damage the foundation.
